Oyster photographer
His various limited edition photographic series illustrate, through his thematic choices, framing, materials and colors, his desire to "paint" his photographs in relief in an abstract approach, with a resolutely contemporary look.
Influenced at a very young age by the works of Calder, Klasen and Rothko, he gradually drew inspiration from other creators such as Twombly, Serra and certain contemporary visual artists. It is less the photographers who inspired him than certain painters and sculptors who, through their creative audacity, offer us to surpass ourselves and constantly reinterpret reality.
The discovery and use of the thermal sublimation process on Aluminum Chromaluxe ® allowed him to bring to his creative work, a final visual mutation, before free appropriation of his works.
Subligraphy
“Thermal sublimation”, also called Subligraphy , is a photographic transfer process that is carried out on Chromaluxe ® aluminum plates, previously primed with several layers of polyester varnish.
When heated, the polyester opens, the ink turns into gas and becomes encapsulated in the varnish. The image then becomes an integral part of the support and reveals its photographic mutation.
A process on a very high-end aluminum support which gives the photos both a unique iridescent optical relief, exceptional resistance to attack (UV, water, fire, frost, cleaning products, etc.) and unequaled longevity. for an exhibition, a design both indoors and outdoors unique.
